Tantrum Brewing Gypsy Queen Beer Bread
We used local Tantrum Brewing Company's Gypsy Queen Mexican style lager to make beer bread. This bread is delicious with Unicoi Preserves and cheese. Local Beer Bread
We created this delicious beer bread for The Ingles Table using local Tantrum Brewing Company's Gypsy Queen Mexican style lager. This home baked bread is delicious paired with Unicoi Preserves Strawberry Vanilla Spread and a bourbon vanilla cheddar cheese from Deer Creek Cheese called The Doe. Pick up some Unicoi Preserves and Deer Creek Cheese from the Ingles Markets deli. Remember, we're in the deli, not with the jelly!
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp. unsalted melted butter, divided
12 oz. Tantrum Brewing Co. Gypsy Queen Lager, room temperature
- non-stick cooking spray
favorite flavor of Unicoi Preserves
- Preheat oven to 375°.
Spray 9” x 5” loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl, stir flour, sugar, 3 tbsp. melted butter and beer until well combined and fairly smooth, a few lumps are ok.
Pour bread batter into prepared loaf pan, tap on counter to even out batter, then drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp. melted butter.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean or with a few crumbs.
Cool in pan 5 minutes, then turn out onto a cool rack.
Cool completely, then slice and serve with your favorite flavor of Unicoi Preserves.
