We brought a little twist to our popular smoked cream cheese for this year's Atlanta Grill Fire Show. I created a rub that pairs well with our Salted Caramel Peach Spread. After lots of requests for the recipe, I decided to share it with everyone.
I created this rub to compliment the flavors found in our Salted Caramel Peach Spread. I used the rub on cream cheese that was smoked with apple and hickory wood, and we sampled it at the 2024 Fire Show. Many people asked for the recipe, so here it is!
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. The mixture will be slightly damp from the vanilla extract.
Coat the prepared cream cheese liberally on all sides with the rub. This quantity of rub was enough for 3 full blocks of cream cheese, cut into 6 half blocks. If you are preparing less, just adjust your recipe accordingly.
Smoke your cream cheese indirect between 150 - 200 degrees for 1.5-2 hours.
Once it is done, top it with our Salted Caramel Peach Spread and serve with your favorite dip delivery devices. We used Ritz crackers and pita chips.
